The Gibraltar Experience
Gibraltar is not a place most people would want to have on their wish list of places to see. It's very small and a fair half of this smallness is a huge rock of limestone. So you get the picture!? The place is so small that there are only 2 main roads that run through the whole length of the country and the next country (Spain) is a shout away. Strictly speaking only one road of the afore mentioned two has the capability of handling vehicular traffic but, just not to belittle the place let's say it has two main roads - Queen's Way Quay and the Main Street. It has 4 major hotels and an air field with a runway that cuts across the road that leads to the border and into Spain. Irrespective of it's size Gibraltar has a great bit of history associated with it and it's geographical placement and the rock hold a place in the Battle of Trafalgar and in the world war -II. Apart from the rock, the world war-II tunnels and the Stalagmite formations the country is also famous for it's tobacconists, perfumeries and liquor stores. Heaven for a drunkard like me :D. Here are some of my memories from the previous trip. I hope to gather some more on my impending trip too.
